Baby's First Food - Veggie Recipes

I am going to share with you today some ridiculously simple baby food recipes.
These are my easy vegetable baby food recipes.

Steam cook them for about 10 minutes until soft.
Allow to cool and blitz in a food processor or with a hand blender.
Add 3 tablespoons of cool boiled water, or your baby's usual milk.
Blend until runny, add more liquid if required.

Steam 50g of frozen peas for 2 minutes, and remove from heat.
Allow to cool and blitz in a food processor or with a hand blender.
Add 3 tablespoons of cool boiled water, or your baby's usual milk.
Blend until runny, add more liquid if required.

Peel and cut 1 large carrot into slices.
Steam cook for 10 minutes until the carrot is soft.
Allow to cool and blitz in a food processor or with a hand blender.
Add 2 tablespoons of cool boiled water, or your baby's usual milk.
Blend until runny, add more liquid if required.

Wash 100g broccoli florets and cut into pieces.
Steam for 10 minutes until broccoli is soft.
Allow to cool and blitz in a food processor or with a hand blender.
Add 3 tablespoons of cool boiled water, or your baby's usual milk.
Blend until runny, add more liquid if required.

Cut up (and peel if necessary) 250g of potato, cauliflower, carrot, peas and leeks.
Steam cook the vegetables for 20 mins until all vegetables are soft.
Allow to cool and blitz in a food processor or with a hand blender.
Add 3 tablespoons of cool boiled water, or your baby's usual milk.
Blend until runny, add more liquid if required.

Then store all your purees in
reusable pouches, tubs, ice cube trays or whatever you have on hand.
These purees can be frozen. Just defrost them overnight in the fridge!

So SIMPLE right? :)
Making your own homemade baby food is not only so much cheaper, but it's also much healthier for your baby, and you know exactly what they are eating.
No additives whatsoever!

Have you ever made your own baby food?
