Happy Days

Life has it's ups and downs. Sometimes it's hard to feel happy, especially if you've got a lot going on in your head. It's not easy to stay happy all the time, and your attitude affects your whole day so it's important to start everyday with a positive outlook.
Everyone has bad days, and you probably go to bed thinking
'Today was a bad day, tomorrow has got to be better'.

Here's my checklist to ensure you have a good day!

'Laughter is the best medicine'.
Laughing is amazing and such a good thing to do to cheer you up.
Watch a movie that's guaranteed to make you laugh, talk to someone who you know always makes you laugh. Just laugh. Laugh until your belly hurts!

Smiling at strangers is such a simple thing to do. When you walk past people, perhaps in a shop or at work. Just smile! It not only boosts your confidence, but it makes you feel a lot better about yourself , and probably cheers them up a bit too!

Today I bought myself some flowers. It's just a small gesture, but doing something, even something as small as that can make you happy. You deserve it!

Slow down and take time to notice the small things. Sit down once in a while and stop rushing around being so busy, life will pass you by unless you stop and pay attention.

Say Thank You. Be polite and appreciate others around you, and what they do. :)

I remember a few months back, I randomly told an older woman that I loved her coat. Because I did, it was bold and flowery and she looked amazing in it. She was so pleased to hear this, and she laughed that her husband hated it, but she loved it anyway. Just giving this one person a compliment, and hearing her reaction definitely made my day. :)

Wear something a little nicer than your everyday wear. It's amazing what a difference it makes, as long as you wear it with confidence! Wear your extra special perfume too!

Smile!
Even if you are not really feeling like it, studies show that even forcing yourself to smile genuinely makes you happy.
Smiling is like yawning, if you see someone smile it makes you smile!

Limit Social Media. Does this one really need explaining? No one needs to be online 24/7.
Get back to the real world now and again.

This one goes hand in hand with the previous point.
Limit social media and have real genuine conversations with an actual human being.

Playing is important! Whether it's playing toys with your children, playing on the Xbox or playing on the swings at the park. Everyone needs to let their inner child loose now and again!

This last one is my favourite. Have an early morning dance party!
(For those parents with kids at school, it's like 'Wake & Shake')
Once you've had your morning coffee, put on a happy song and get dancing!!
It's a great way to wake up and start your day off the right way! :)

So true! We all need to be a little kinder to ourselves sometimes and remember that the small things really can make a difference to our mood. #SundayStars

I adhere to most of these! I definitely believe that giving compliments, smiling and being nice to people comes back to you tenfold. People remember the little things and a smile — or a pat on the arm — from a stranger (or a friend), when you're having an off day is sometimes all that's needed to turn your whole day around and make you feel so much better! There's a lot to be said for positive thinking! x #SundayStars

I agree with all of these. Little Miss H and I love a dance party. I feel so much better when I dress nicely, do my hair and wear make-up. It makes me feel together and ready for the challenges of the day. I also think smiling at people and paying compliments is such a small thing to do but it makes such a difference to life. Thanks
