Happy Pancake Day! I hope you're all planning on cooking up some scrummy pancakes today!
We are very much a basic lemon & sugar pancake family, but I'd love to try something a bit more adventurous this year! I'm sharing with you a few more exciting and delicious recipes with you today, so you'll be sure to find something that takes your fancy!

Visiting The Smallest City In England!

We recently went on a little trip to a local city called Wells. I call it a city, because it is a city but it's so small you would hardly think that. Wells is in fact the smallest city in England. It can call itself a city apparently because of the famous 13th Century Cathedral, as well as many other historic buildings. It's really a beautiful place to visit, interesting shops and fascinating buildings. Places for your little ones to run wild & free, as well as places to gain some interesting historic knowledge!

Chalkola Chalk Markers Review & GIVEAWAY

We've heard great things about Chalkola Chalk Markers, and I couldn't wait to try some for myself! I know chalk markers have been around for a while, but I had never actually used any before! I'm so glad these were the ones I chose to try out, as they are fantastic!

Sunday Photo #7 - Freedom!

At the weekend we went to Wells. Haven't been there in so long, and it was just so nice to have a mooch around, the little ones got to run around and play! Little guy hardly ever gets to run around outside!

February In Review 2017

Oh February, I will not miss you. The month started off ok, carrying on working my way through my goals. Taking better care of myself this month, but then it all went a bit wrong as it ended on a bad note. Lets hope March is better!

Welcome To The Movie Sets!

Last weekend my family and I went on a little trip to Wells. If you don't know Wells very well (haha), you might not know it is home to one of my favourite movies, Hot Fuzz! Turns out it's the 10 Year Anniversary this year of the movie, so what perfect time to feature it. I love this movie. I love Simon Pegg & Nick Frost are like the ultimate film duo in my opinion, (they've been in quite a few films together!), but this one definitely comes out on top! If you haven't seen the movie, I definitely recommend a watch! And if you happen to be anywhere near Wells, I highly recommend a visit!

I'm Broken

I broke down in front of my children today. It's one of those things you just never want to do. Cry uncontrollably in front of your little ones. They don't understand why you're upset, they don't know if it was something they did. All they know is crying is what you do when you're upset. So you must be really upset. It feels awful, you feel so guilty for letting them see you this way, but sometimes you just cant do anything about it. You cant lock yourself away when you have to be there to take care of them. You cant focus on calming down, because that's exactly what you are trying to do. Thinking "Oh I have to stop this" "I shouldn't be doing this" then makes you feel more guilty that you are doing it in the first place, and the tears flow even more.

Capturing Moments #18

Well, I'm glad half term is over. I struggle to know what to do with the little ones, and my little girlie just gets bored and wants to be back at nursery. My little guy was ill the majority of last week, so all in all, it sucked. Saying that though, we did manage to get out on Sunday with my family. We went to Wells for a look around, and really enjoyed it. I haven't been there in so long, and the little ones really enjoyed being able to run around outside again!

When It's OK To Use A Payday Loan

We've all been there. It's not quite payday and we've ran out of money. Your car breaks down, and you don't have any spare cash to fix it at the moment! Bills, car repairs, emergencies, home repair, gifts. The unexpected items that we often need to buy, at the times when we simply can't afford to.

A payday loan can help you afford these emergency fees, but only if you do so correctly. Make sure it is really an emergency. Is it a sudden one of cost, that you can't afford right now, but it needs to be paid. For example, gifts are not 'emergency', nor are household appliances (in my honest opinion with the exception of a washing machine). Bills are also not emergencies. Unless you have tried every other option. If you are behind on a bill, just give them a call and explain. There's a high chance they'll give you more time, or even give you a late fee. Late fees will more than likely be less money than the interest on the payday loan.

Only take out a payday loan if you know, 100 percent you will be able to pay back the full amount, including the interest in one go on your next payday.

Payday loans should not be a regular occurrence, you cannot depend on them or rely on them.

Make sure you know exactly how much you will need to borrow, exactly when you will be able to pay it back, and exactly the amount of interest that will be added during that time.

As long as you are aware, understand and agree to all the points above, a loan may be able to help you. They are usually paid on the same day which means you can get yourself sorted out as quick as possible. As an alternative to a regular payday loan, Auto Advance offer logbook loans. They use your car as a security guarantee when you obtain a loan, allowing you to keep driving.

If you are looking to take out a loan, make sure you shop around for payday lender that offers lower rates. Borrow only as much as you definitely know you can pay back with your next paycheck. Don't overestimate, don't hope. Borrow what you can afford, and make sure your first priority when you get paid is to pay the loan back.

Please borrow responsibly and seek advice if you have any concerns.

The Sunshine Blogger Quiz

As you know I love a good tag post. It's a great way to share a few facts about yourself, and get to know other bloggers too. I was tagged by Mimi Rose & Me to take part in the Sunshine Blogger Tag. She put together a series of questions for me to answer, and I will have my own questions at the bottom for others to answer!

How To Find Creative Inspiration Everyday

Everyone gets a bit stuck now and then.
Sometimes finding creative inspiration can seem difficult, stuck on what to write, stuck on what to draw, or what to create. These ideas may help you to boost your imagination and let the ideas come flooding in! Today I wanted to share with you...

DIY Homemade Cat Treats! #LoveYourPetDay

Do you know what, one thing I'm pretty sure I've never talked about on here is my cats! I don't really know why to be perfectly honest, but what better day than Love Your Pet Day to talk about them!
We've also been making a batch of homemade cat treats, and i'll be sharing the how to, below!
We have four cats.
Daddy Cat - Rory. Ginger softie, but he is such an old man cat. Likes to keep himself to himself. Haha.

Mummy Cat - Jess. Original name for a cat ey? Well my little girlie was obsessed with Postman Pat at the time! She's a bit of a scaredy cat though, doesn't really like much attention.

Our black kitten is Gizmo. He just looks like a little Gremlin! He's such a cutie. Definitely the friendliest and most playful!

Last but not least, little Kitten. Yes. Her name is Kitten or 'Kitty'. We just find it hard to come up with names! She's very sweet, but also quite a scaredy cat like her mama!

So for Love Your Pet Day, we cooked up some homemade cat biscuits to give them a little treat, something different to snack on! They did go down well!

Why Black Mirror Isn't Far From Reality

Black Mirror is definitely one of my favourite tv shows of all time. It's just so different to anything else I have seen before. It makes me think of a modern sort of Twilight Zone. Each episode is different. Different characters, different plotlines, different realities. When you first watch it, you think about how bizarre it is, what a strange future that would be. The truth is, it's not really that strange, and it's not really the future. It's really not that far from reality today! If you haven't watched the show before, this post will contain !major spoilers!, and also, go watch it right now!!

Movie Based On Your Life TAG!

I think it's a really fun thing to think about! If someone were to make a movie about your life right now, what would it be like? Who would play you? How would the story go? What sort of movie would it end up being? In this post, I came up with a few questions and answered them myself, as well as asking a few fellow bloggers to give their answers!

I've decided to make this post a tag post, so I'm going to be tagging a few bloggers to take part at the end of the post!

Capturing Moments #17

It's been half term this week, and it's been a tough one. I often struggle to know what to do over half term, to keep the little ones entertained. But it's been cold and so rainy, there hasn't really been anywhere we could go! Besides, my little guy has been poorly so this week hasn't been that great for anyone! We should hopefully have a fun weekend though! What are you up to this weekend?

Thank you to everyone who links up to Capturing Moments & all those who stop by to read the fab posts week after week. How To Be A Tourist In Your Own Town

Whether you have a low budget, no form of transport or a lack of time to go out for the day, that doesn't mean you can't have a good time. Staying close to home or exploring your town doesn't have to be boring! I can guarantee there are places you've never seen, things you've never done, parts of the town you've never been to before! It can be a lot of fun!

Pop to your local Tourist Information or Town Hall
See if you can find a map of your town research what there is in your area. Is there a woodland? Is there a river or weir? Find out where about it is, and head in that direction!

Visit a local museum
You never know, there might be a museum where you live! Check it out and really take it all in. If there isn't a museum, perhaps you could pop to the local library and see if they have any historical information about your town.

Eat somewhere new
Do you normally go to the same cafe, or order from the same takeaway? Why not take a chance and try somewhere totally new. Look for the most touristy place for bonus points!

Try a new activity
Look up if there are any activities to do near you. I know in England there are treasure trails, which are a great way to explore a town, or they're a lot of fun!

Take a tour
If you live in a big enough place, you never know they might have tours! Guided tours around buildings perhaps or even bus tours!

Attend a free local event
Many towns host free events. Concerts, festivals, open days or even free movie showings! Check out your town's calendar and attend any that appeal to you!

Have you tried being a tourist in your own town?

DIY Heart Shaped Shortbread Biscuits {Kids Craft}

Baking with the little ones is always something I enjoy doing, and I know they enjoy doing it too. Sometimes the products don't always turn out as expected, sometimes there's arguing involved, there's always a massive mess to clear up but it's still a lot of fun. We recently made some little shortbread biscuits, (with the exception of a couple), they turned out pretty well! The little ones love eating something they have made themselves, and there was no arguing or sulking involved. It was a really lovely activity to do.

Decorating Our Home For Valentines Day

Any popular holiday and you can guarantee I will decorate my home accordingly! Not even just holidays! Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, Easter, Christmas & even Valentines Day! I do love adding a few romantic touches to celebrate the occasion. I know a lot of people don't believe in Valentines Day, and I don't tend to go overboard, just a few little bits here & there.

My Sunday Photo #5 - Playing Shops

On Mondays we go to a local play group. The little ones really enjoy it (they always seem to love playing with different toys, instead of their own!). Its only £1.50 for both of them, which is crazy! It's such good value for money. They get to play with toys, trampolines and tunnels. Read books, singing, dancing and they're even given a snack!

I love this photo, as I actually captured a moment when they are playing together nicely!! They're playing shops!

10 Romantic Movies To Watch This Valentines Day ❤

If you're planning a cosy night in this Valentines Day, you'll need a cheesy romantic movie to go with it! It's the perfect opportunity to light some candles, grab some blankets and get snuggled on the sofa. ❤ ❤ ❤

Capturing Moments #16

Oh my gosh. The weather this week has been just awful here. It hasn't really been that cold, but its just been so grey & rainy & miserable! The little ones and I went on a muddy puddle walk the other day (I couldn't believe I'd never taking my little guy muddy puddle jumping before!), and we also went to a local "Tots & Toys" which they love. Toys, singing, dancing and a snack, all for only £1.50 for both of them. It's crazy!

DIY Valentines Day Bath Bombs

Bath Bombs are one of my favourite things to make! I also love making my own gifts to give people, so I thought a Valentines themed bath bomb would make a super cute gift for a loved one!

Who doesn't love a proper relaxing bath? Candles, dim lights, bubbles & bath bombs! Perfect.

Stop Worrying!

I am a massive worrier. (Unless you've met my mother, she's worse!). I worry about every tiny little thing possible and it drives me and other people totally crazy! We all need to chill out. When you start worrying, it can seem impossible to stop! One thing leads to another and you just end up with a head full of insane completely irrelevant worries! It's so stupid!

Staying In On Valentines Day ❤

We are very much a staying in, snuggled on the sofa sort of couple. This years Valentines Day will be no exception. I know it's fun to get all dressed up and actually leave the house with your date, but honestly there are many reasons why people choose to stay at home on this romantic occasion. ❤

My Sunday Photo #4 - Wet & Wintery Walk

Earlier this week, when it was really cold & rainy, we decided to go for a muddy puddle walk! Jumping in all of the massive puddles (which my little boy found hilarious, as he had never done it before!). We also played Pooh sticks across the bridge. They were so surprised at how quickly the river was flowing!

Top 10 Funny Movies

Sometimes you just need cheering up after a rubbish day. Other times you just fancy having a good laugh. Scrolling through the movie channels or Netflix, searching the comedy section you don't know which movies will honestly cheer you up.

I have compiled a little list of my favourite movies that are guaranteed to make you laugh like a horse! (Or whichever animal you sound like when you're laughing hysterically!)
(These are my favourite funny movies, but you may not share the same silly sense of humour as me. So just keep an open mind, ey? :))

Capturing Moments #15

Welcome back to Capturing Moments! It's been so chilly this past week hasn't it? It's been so misty, and the ground covered in frost for a few days. Very wintery indeed. We decided to wrap up super warm & cosy and venture out on a little walk the other day, crunching the frosted leaves, seeing our breath in the air. We are linking up a little Instagram snap of our winter walk this week!

A Letter To Nursery Workers

Do you ever honestly realise how much nursery workers do every day? How hard they work, how many children they take care of each day, and how much they honestly teach your little ones?
