DIY Bug Hotel {Kids Craft}

My little ones love digging in dirt, looking at bugs and collecting natural items. We often go on walks to collect sticks, leaves & flowers and go home to create nature collages! But this time we decided we were going to do something different with all the things we collect, and make a home for the bugs in our garden! Bugs need a place to live too!

Doodle Cat Is Bored {Book Review}

Doodle Cat Is Bored is the sequel to the award winning picture book I Am Doodle Cat. If I'm totally honest, I hadn't heard of the books before, but I had seen the illustrations! I'm sure you will recognise them too!

11 Things You Can Donate To Charity

I've spoken before about different ways we can give to charity, without actually donating any money. Honestly, with things how they are, a lot of us just don't have spare money left, as much as we'd like to be able to give it. One thing most of us can do is donate something! There are many items that you might not know you could actually give to charity, so I'm sharing a few ideas here!

How to Save a Few Pennies on your Family Holiday

 Family holidays provide working parents with an amazing opportunity to spend an extended period of time with their partner and kids. And even for those of us who stay at home with our children, a holiday can be just what we need to escape the day-to-day routine and share something truly amazing with our family, and get some time to relax for ourselves too! However, they don’t come cheap, and they aren’t always entirely free from stress and chaos, but a really great family holiday will be a memory that stays with you and your children forever, so it’s worth a go! Here are some tips on having the holiday of your lives, without destroying your bank balance in the process.

Homemade Nature Bracelets {Kids Craft}

A super cute craft idea today, and a great way to get your little ones exploring and enjoying nature! Homemade nature bracelets! I have always loved the idea of these, but we've never actually made them before! So yesterday we went on a walk, collect lots of natural items and made our own bracelets!

Book Of The Month - The Gruffalo

Book Of The Month is where my little ones & I focus on one book each month, read it, watch it (if possible) and do fun activities based on it! The book for May is another classic, The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson & Axel Scheffer! We've had a busy month doing lots of Gruffalo activities, it's definitely one of our favourites!

My Sunday Photo #20 - Baby Boy

I've been a bit distracted this week as I'm sure you have been too, for obvious reasons.

I've also been looking back at my little ones baby photos, and I came across this one. I love it so much. It was the first photo we ever took of my little boy, and I will treasure it forever. It's so funny, when he was born he had super dark hair and was really tanned! Now he's pale with long blonde curls! This is one of my favourite photos ever.

How YOU Can Help Manchester

I cant believe it. I can't even begin to imagine. My heart is breaking for every one affected, my thoughts are with you all. I'm not going to share any images, or go into too much detail - but I'm just going to say, times like this, we all have to help. We can all do something whether you're in Manchester or not. Whether you have a lot of money or a large social media following or not.

My Breastfeeding Journey

Before my eldest was born, I just knew I wanted to breastfeed. If I'm totally honest, I didn't even contemplate it, it didn't even occur to me that I might not be able to. I didn't have a plan B. I'm pretty lucky that in our close family we are very much pro-breastfeeding. Not in your face, this is what you should be doing sort of thing, but it's just what we have all done. It's completely and totally normal. My grandparents, my aunties, my mum, my cousin, we have all breastfed and didn't even think twice about it. That's what really helped. It was just the done thing in our family.

7 Ways To Help You Feel Like You Again, After Children

Becoming a mum changes your life, there's no doubt about that. It's one of the most life changing experiences that you can go through. You go from being independent, just having yourself to take care of, then suddenly being responsible for a whole new life. It's sets us up on a completely different pathway. It can make you feel like you are losing part of your identity, you no longer feel like you anymore. Or at least the you you once were. It's so important as a mum that you have a strong sense of self, of who you are. Even if it's not the you that you used to be. Yes it might be a drastic change, but it's an amazing one. I'm sharing a few ways to help you feel like you again, after having children.

My Dream Office Wishlist

I've always wanted my own office. Right now I don't even really need one, but that doesn't stop me wishing. My dream office would be a mixture of a classic office - desk, computer etc and a craft room! That'd just be heaven!

My Sunday Photo #19 Sibling Fun

It makes my heart just melts when I watch these two together. Don't get me wrong, they fight & argue but what siblings don't. But when it really comes down to it, they are there for each other no matter what. They take care of each other. They teach and help each other. 💙

This snap is from when we went to our local fun day! They played on the bouncy castle, helped each other choose an item from the lucky dip. Then when I told them I didn't have any change left to do anything else, They didn't mind, they just ran off to play tag!

Losing Weight & Getting Healthier

I've been getting really down about my weight recently. I weighed myself and found out I am the heaviest I have ever been. I don't feel it. Well I mean I do feel it in that the fact my clothes no longer fit, and I am stuck wearing massive baggy jumpers in the sunshine. But I just don't know when it happened! It was bound to happen though, the amount of chocolate and other rubbish I was eating was awful, honestly embarrassing. But I've started to notice I can't do things like I used to. I don't look the way I want. I can't wear what I want to. I look at other people and think, I wish I could pull that off. And I used to be able to. Not now.

Flexible Jobs for Working Mums and Dads! {Guest Post}

Maintaining a career with kids to look after can often seem impossible as there are simply not enough hours in the day to get everything done, particularly if you are a single parent. If your kids are at school or nursery age and you have these hours in the day in which you want to work and earn money, without having to spend exorbitant amounts in childcare and need to be at the school gates to collect the kids in the afternoon. Suddenly the pool of potential job opportunities has become a rather shallow puddle. However, more parents than ever are seeking jobs with flexible hours, here are just some of the careers worth considering if this describes your situation.

My Sunday Photo #18 Lazy Sunday Morning

I've really been pushing myself recently, a bit too far. I've been staying up so late, so I can get as much done as possible, then my little ones wake up at 6. Some days I don't even have 3 hours sleep. Last night I started to feel drained, and a bit sick at 8pm. I tried to ignore it and get on with what I wanted to do that evening. by 9:30 I had fallen asleep. Earphones in, laptop on, cold cup of tea on the side. I woke up at 2:30 am realising I had fallen asleep on my laptop. I had keyboard keys printed onto my face! I decided to just write that night off and sleep. My little ones even let me have a lie in until 8:30 am! I definitely needed that sleep!

Make Your Own Yogurts With EasiYo {Review}

My little ones absolutely love yogurts! They have them in their lunchboxes, and have another one after their dinner in the evenings. (They've also started sneaking into the kitchen, and helping themselves after breakfast. They grab their yogurts, grab a spoon and sneakily hide under the table to eat their yogurts!) So as you can guess we go through a lot of yogurts, and the cost can build up! I recently found out you can actually make your own yogurts with the help of EasiYo!

April In Review 2017

April has been a pretty good month! We really enjoyed Easter, decorating for Easter, eating lots of chocolate & egg hunts! We've also been doing a lot of Spring themed activities which has been fun. We even went on a Gruffalo hunt which was amazing! It's been the weirdest weather this month though, hasn't it!

DIY Easy No Cook Play Dough {Free Printable}

We've made our own play dough before, but we used to do it on the hob and at least half the time it would go a bit wrong. Then I came across this fantastic easy peasy totally fool proof method which involves no cooking what so ever. (Which is great for me because, less washing up!) Haha. But seriously if you've ever wanted to make your own play dough, or perhaps tried and failed miserably I definitely suggest trying to make it using this no cook method! Trust me!

A Different Sort Of Parenting Book {Guest Post}

Oh goody, yet another parenting book. Just what everyone needs.
What's different about this one? It's written by a bloke. Brilliant. So what does he have to say? The Goodfather, by Lee Price (that’s me), is part-diary, part-guide and part-warning to expectant fathers who are preparing to be thrown into the deep end of parenthood. And, no, this paperback doesn’t float. Pointless, I know.
Scattered among the panic, fear and borderline breakdowns are lessons to be learned from my mistakes, tips of parenting purchases to avoid (nothing screams 'ready for fatherhood' like budget cutting), and a slew of brownie point generators – starting by being seen to read the book by your missus.
