5 Tips To Help You Kick Your Bad Habits - We all have bad habits, those little niggly things that we know we shouldn't be doing, but just cannot quit! Maybe you want to stop biting your nails, or wanting to stop smoking. Or perhaps you'd like to stop burning yourself out, and make more time for yourself. Whatever your bad habit, i'm sharing a few tips today to help you kick those bad habits!

Before you begin, you need to acknowledge your bad habit. (you might not have one, I'm not assuming! But if you do..) You need to make yourself aware of your bad habit, be confident that you can & will stop it, and something you'd like to replace it with. For example, perhaps you want to quit smoking and instead switch to vaping? Why not try an e cigarette starter kit for beginners or tobacco e-juice Maybe you want to stop burning yourself out & take more time for yourself?  Or perhaps you want to switch off from technology more often than you do? Once you have accepted your bad habit, and decided what you'd want to do instead, you're ready to go!

Start Small
For example if you want to stop smoking, start by cutting down or switching to a vape cigarette? Or if you want to stop sleeping in, set your alarm for 10 minutes earlier each day. Remember you are doing this for you. So do what works for you, you don't have to drastically change overnight!

Track Your Progress
Tracking yourself as you go along can be super helpful. I know a lot of people have 'water intake' type tracking pages in their bullet journals, so why not take some inspiration from them. Tick off each day as it comes, and set reminders to motivate you & keep you going!

Reward Yourself
There's no harm in rewarding yourself along the way! I've seen a few things online that could be helpful. For example, if you're trying to lose weight why not pop a pound in a jar, for every pound you lose! Or if you prefer you could reward yourself with something when you've totally and completely kicked the habit!

Visualize Yourself Succeeding
Always, always keep motivating yourself! Whether it's writing down your progress so far, popping some motivational quotes up on your wall or picturing what you want to be like once you've kicked the habit. Healthier, less tired, more organised. You can & will do this!

Aim For A Month
It takes a lot of hard work to kick a habit, especially one that's been going on for a long time. But don't let that put you off. You can do anything you put your mind to, if you work hard enough. Habits wont be kicked in a day, or a week, or even a month. But after a month it should start to become more of a routine, it should get easier. So I say, aim for a month - then keep going. If you can make it a month, you can definitely make it longer.

Remember, you might think it seems like the best plan to start kicking your bad habits on a Monday, or even on the first day of a month but really, what's stopping you starting now?

You could even team up with someone else who wants to kick the same habit as you! Spur each other on and stop each other from giving in!

Do you have any bad habits you'd like to kick?
