14 Ways To Feel Happier, Right Now

We all have our down days, it's true. No one can be happy all the time, it's not good for you to be happy all the time. But there are a few things that we can all do, to cheer ourselves up & amp up the good feelings! If you feel like you need a little boost in your life at the moment, why not try a few of these right now, I guarantee you'll feel a bit better!

Eat More Fruits & Veggies
We can all have a bit more healthy goodness in our diets! Honestly eating healthier can definitely boost your happiness and quality of life. So why not try adding a new fruit or vegetable to your diet? I fancy trying Star Fruit, or Passion fruit!

Drink More Water
Drinking water is so important. It improves your health, your skin, your sleep, your mood. Set yourself the goal of drinking more water this week!

Get More Sleep
I am terrible at doing this. I don't switch off until early morning, and then it takes me a while to actually get to sleep. But sleep is so important. You'll know what I mean when you don't get enough sleep. Sleep is so important. Go to bed earlier!

Pursue Your Goals
Write down your goals, and take the first steps to achieving them. Keep going, don't give up. You never know what you can achieve until you try. Find happiness in the process of pursuing your dreams. 

Slow Down & Notice Your Surroundings
Don't let life pass you by, slow down. Take time to notice your surroundings and embrace the world around you. Take time to smell the roses. Appreciate the little things in your life.

Treat Yourself
We all deserve to buy something for ourselves now & then. I am terrible at treating myself, I always buy stuff for my little ones, but never for myself! So why not treat yourself with a new book, a bar of your favourite chocolate or a gorgeous bunch of flowers!

Spend Time Outdoors
Being outside can be such a big mood booster. Whether it's spending some time in the sunshine with your little ones, or going for a walk alone - breathing in the fresh air & feeling the sun on your face is an amazing feeling. 

Don't Compare Yourself To Others
We are all guilty of it I'm sure. It's a very hard thing not to compare yourself to others, but what good does it do for anyone? You are your own person, don't compare yourself to anyone, you are amazing.

Compliment Others & Mean It
Everyone loves receiving genuine, heartfelt compliments. So be sure to compliment others when ever they deserve it. You'll not only make them happier, but you'll make yourself feel good too.

Experience More
Spend money on experiences, not material things. (I know I said to treat yourself, but it's only a treat if it's not a regular occurence!) Visit new places, explore, try new things & travel lots. You've only got one life, don't you want to experience as much as possible?

Listen To Music
It's a fact that music can make you feel happier. When you listen to the right songs it cheers you up, boost your morale, improves your mood and helps balance your emotions. 

Express Your Emotions
It's not healthy to bottle up your emotions, it's just not. Even if that's the way you were raised, even if you don't want to admit how you feel. Let go and express yourself. If you need to scream, scream. If you need to cry, cry. Let it all out.

Practice Mindfulness
Mindfulness is all about living in the present & being aware of who we are and what we are doing. It's so important in this day and age to live for the now & take notice.

Be Optimistic
Celebrate & embrace your life. Be confident & smash those goals of yours. Tell yourself that you can achieve what ever it is you want, tell yourself you deserve to be happy. Because you do. Every one deserves to feel happy with their lives & who there are.
