August In Review 2017

It's September. September is always a month of change, isn't it? Back to school/nursery, the changing seasons, the weather. I do love Autumn though, so I'm excited about that! My little guy started nursery this week too, I can't believe he's old enough now. That time has flown by! August is always a tricky month because it's the Summer Holidays. We don't have a lot of money so it's often hard to keep the little entertained over such a long period of time. We did have a few days out here & there, and we had a little mini-break to Weymouth which was nice. Summer Holidays are always quite quiet in the blogging world, so I haven't posted as much as I'd have liked to, but all in all, it was a pretty good month!
We've been doing a lot of crafts throughout August, as the weather hasn't always been as summery as we'd like! But it's ok, we have been having a lot of fun during those rainier days! We've been reading a lot of Fairy Tales recently including Goldilocks & The Three Bears and doing some crafts & activities based on the story. We made Teddybear Toast for one thing! Isn't it fun? And it was really yummy too!

As the weather has been a bit all over the place, that means a lot of bugs in the garden. My little ones have become obsessed with finding all the little creepy crawlies. So what perfect time than now to create a little home for those bugs! We made a Snail Settlement for all the snails they come across in our garden. (Bonus for me as it means no more snails in my plants!)

As well as our little trip away, appointments and play dates this past month, we also discovered this fantastic little place - Barleymows Maize Maze! We actually visited twice in August as it was so good! I highly recommend a visit, whether you have little ones or not. It's really a fantastic place!

Make It Monthly also went pretty well in August, it was a bit quieter than normal but that's totally understandable - the summer holidays are busy times! I do have a lovely new co-host now though, Kate from Meals & Makes! So I'm excited to see where this linky will go in the future! The next linky is tomorrow (9/09) and I'd love you to be there!

Last but not least, we celebrated our ONE YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY in August! I can't believe I've already been a wife for a year, it's flown by!

How was your August?
