10 Romantic Movies To Watch This Valentines Day ❤

Valentines Day is the perfect opportunity to light some candles, grab a blanket and a box full of chocolates, get snuggled on the sofa and watch a good film! So I’m sharing with you
10 romantic movies to watch this Valentines Day!

Pretty Woman
It’s about an upper class man who needs to hire an escort, but ends up hiring a prostitute instead, and falls in love with her.

I love Julia Roberts so much. The Queen of 90’s Romcoms. Pretty Woman is such a classic film, definitely one of the best romantic comedies out there!

(Pretty Woman is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video)

Blended
Blended is about a man and woman who go on an awful blind date. They then end up at a holiday resort for families, where they start to have feelings for each other.

It sounds like your typical romantic comedy plotline (and it is, to be honest) but it’s also a lot more! If you’ve watched The Wedding Singer or 50 First Dates (both good romantic films too!) you’ll know Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore have the best onscreen chemistry - so this, combined with crazy antics and a whole bunch of family members, it makes for a really good movie.

(Blended is available to watch on Netflix UK)

About Time
This is possibly one of my favourite films ever. I really love it!
It’s about a man who discovers all the male members of his family can time travel and therefore he is able to change his past. He then gets a girlfriend and it makes the whole time travel thing a lot more complicated.

It’s a sweet little movie, it’s your typical romantic film but with a huge unique difference. The cast is absolutely spot on too - with Rachel McAdams, Domhnall Gleeson and Bill Nighy.

(About Time is available to watch on Netflix UK)

Dirty Dancing
How can you have never watched this film? But ok. It’s about a family spending the Summer at a holiday resort and the younger daughter falls in love with dancing, and the camp dance instructor too

Dirty Dancing is the perfect romcom. Dancing, singing, cheesy one liners, overly quoted remarks, fab soundtrack and a whole lot of love. What more could you want? It’s sweet, it’s silly, it’s magical. You’ll love it.

(Dirty Dancing is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video)

Notting Hill
Notting Hill is about the owner of a quant little bookshop in London's Notting Hill. He bumps into a famous film star and their relationship begins to blossom.

Julia Roberts again (what did I tell you, Queen!) and Hugh Grant too are the perfect combination for a good old British Romcom. It's a fun movie, it's smart, witty and entertaining. It's perfect.

(Notting Hill is available to watch on Netflix UK)

You've Got Mail
It's about two bookshop owners who are enemies when it comes to their businesses, but they end up falling love anonymously online. The very early days of online dating I guess!

It's a really sweet, nice film. One of those perfectly harmless, cheesy and romantic films. I know you'll enjoy it!

(You've Got Mail is currently available to rent on Amazon Prime Video)

Definitely, Maybe
Definitely, Maybe is about a father explaining his divorce while discussing all his past relationships to his young daughter.

I don't know what it is about this film, its got all your classic romantic movie moments - but it's just so good! I think it might be the Father/Daughter relationship between RYAN Reynolds and Abigail Breslin that's just too cute for words. This movie is everything you'll want it to be, and more.

(Definitely, Maybe is available to watch on Netflix UK)

The Notebook
Possibly one of the most romantic movies of all time. Its about a poorer man who falls in love with a rich girl. Their relationship is difficult, challenging due to their social differences but its also so full of passion and love.

It's a beautiful, heartfelt, meaningful movie. It's not your typical shallow romcom at all, in fact I wouldn't call it a comedy but it'll make you feel all the feelings.

(The Notebook is available to watch on Netflix UK)

My Best Friend's Wedding
Another Julia Roberts film, yes it's true.

My Best Friend's Wedding is about a woman who finds out her male best friend is getting married, and she then realises she loves him and has to stop the wedding.

It's just your good old classic romcom! It's silly, it's over the top, it's sweet. With a fab cast of Roberts, Cameron Diaz, Dermot Mulroney and Rupert Everett it's just perfect.

(My Best Friend's Wedding is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video)

Crazy, Stupid, Love
It's about a middle aged man whose life gets turned upside down when he gets divorced, and with help from a new friend who attempts to rediscover his manhood.

This. This is the perfect movie. There's absolutely nothing about this movie I don't love. Steve Carell, Julianne Moore, Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling all in one movie. The characters are perfect, the roles are perfect. The storyline is hilarious. You'll love it.

(Crazy, Stupid, Love is currently available for rent on Amazon Prime)
