Welcome To The Movie Sets!

Last weekend my family and I went on a little trip to Wells. If you don't know Wells very well (haha), you might not know it is home to one of my favourite movies, Hot Fuzz! Turns out it's the 10 Year Anniversary this year of the movie, so what perfect time to feature it. I love this movie. I love Simon Pegg & Nick Frost are like the ultimate film duo in my opinion, (they've been in quite a few films together!), but this one definitely comes out on top! If you haven't seen the movie, I definitely recommend a watch! And if you happen to be anywhere near Wells, I highly recommend a visit!

I beg your pardon?

'Evil old woman considered

frightful or ugly.' It's 12 down."

The Swan Hotel is the place where Sergeant Angel stayed during his time in Sanford in the movie. I've never actually been inside this hotel, so I'm not sure if Joyce Cooper works here or not. "FASCIST".

" Excuse me.
- What?

- When's your birthday?

- Twenty-second of February.

- What year?

- Every year."
The 'Local Pub' featured in Hot Fuzz is in fact The Crown. Home of the underage drinkers of Sandford and the super classy pub owners Roy & Mary. (Obviously they are not the real pub owners, just to clarify!)

"Our friend, The Living Statue,
was here on Saturday. 11:00, 12:00, 1:00"

Home of the greatest actor in the movie, The Living Statue. As well as the reversing while drunk and Cornetto eating scenes!

"Haven't you got a church fete to look after?"
St Cuthbert's Church. Home of the village fete
"Seen any murderings, Nicholarse?"
and possibly the grossest scene in the movie.
"Maybe we should go on the bouncy castle,
take our minds off it?"
You know the scene I mean right? Just look up, you'll know what I mean.
"Tim? Your number's up!"

"Morning, The swan's escaped..
Mr Peter Ian Staker.
P I Staker?
So Mr Staker can you describe it to me?
About 2 foot tall, long slender neck, orange & black bill.
Anything else?
Well, it's a swan".
Outside of Bishops Palace is the place where the naughty swan escaped!

These aren't the only places in Wells where Hot Fuzz was filmed either!

There are so many beautiful, mesmerizing locations where film & TV shows have been filmed across Europe! Why not visit Dealchecker if you fancy exploring some beautiful set locations?

I asked a few other bloggers if they had visited anywhere, where any famous movies/tv shows were filmed, I got some great responses!

Five Little Doves visited a place in Oxford where Harry Potter was filmed!

Teddybears & Cardigans visited Puzzlewood in the Forest of Dean, where loads of films & tv shows have been filmed including Star Wars; The Force Awakens & Jack The Giant Slayer! Puzzlewood is also said to be one of J. R. R. Tolkien's inspirations for Middle-earth in The Lord of the Rings.

Hello Cuppies has sat on the iconic Forrest Gump bench!

Finally Hi Baby Blog has a super special connection to the Game of Thrones series', and her dad is often featured as an extra! Apparently "He met a sticky end at the red wedding"!

Have you ever visited somewhere where a famous movie was filmed?
