Decorating Our Dining Area For Christmas

We are one of those crazy families who goes all out at Christmas. I like to decorate every single room with some Christmassy decor, and if we had the money - I would definitely cover the entire front of the house with Christmas lights! Haha. As one of the main places we spend Christmas Day, the dining area must be decorated appropriately too! In the build up the Christmas, our dining table is one of the main features in our kitchen, so it needs to look pretty with lots of festive decorations too!
During December, our dining table subtly decorated with a Christmas/Winter theme. A pretty festive bouquet adds a nice touch. I also recently purchased this tray, which I have filled with pinecones, cinnamon sticks and a sprinkle of Christmas Spice pot pourri. It makes the house smell amazing. Adding a couple of chunky candles and some led lights really finishes it off. I love how this turned out.

My little ones have their own Christmas themed plates, and their cutlery. We have these gorgeous big plates and our fancy rose gold cutlery. Not to mention a glass of something special. On the big day we will of course add some fun crackers, and fill up the table with lots of delicous things to eat! We don't have a huge dining table, but it's just the right size for our little family, when we move house in the future I would love to purchase a slightly bigger, prettier dining table. Aside from the table, we also recently accuired these adorable festive Santa hats, which are in fact chair decorations! Hats for chairs! Haha. Our dining chairs have definitely seen better days though, so I would love to update them in the new year. I love picturing and planning how our table and chairs will look on Christmas Day! I can't wait!

Do you decorate your dining area for Christmas?
