Homemade Soup is definitely one of my favourite meals. It's so filling and delicious! There are so many different flavours to try and it's a really great way of getting more veggies in your diet! (Whenever I'm on a diet, soup is my go to-meal!) But soup is not just super healthy for you, but it's so comforting and warming on these chilly Winter days!
(Left to Right)
Let's start off with these delicious looking (and I'm sure tasting) Creamy Parsnip & Apple Soup! Perfect for a cold day to warm you up! I really love creamy soups. Yum!
Leek & Potato is one of my go-to soup recipes. It's definitely one of our favourites. ThisLeek & Potatosoup recipe is delightfully thick & creamy, perfect for little ones and adults alike!
Ahh chicken soup. Chicken soup is my personal favourite soup, and my favourite one to make too! I tend to make chicken soup the same way every time, but this yummy 5 Minute Chicken Noodle Soupsounds amazing! I'll have to give it a go.
Oh there's something so special about serving soup in a mug isn't there? It takes me back to my childhood when I always drank hot soup from a mug! This Moroccan Vegetable Souplooks absolutely divine, perfect for whipping up anywhere! Serving it in a mug is optional, but I recommend it!
ThisVegan Pea Pasta Minestronesoup is so vibrant and beautiful looking! It sounds so delicious and packed full of flavour, and it's Vegan friendly too!
Now for something completely different. A scrummy, cheesy, meaty bowl of goodness! Inspired by her visit to Berlin it's a delicious looking Cheese & Leek Soup with Mince! I must admit, I've never tried a specific cheese soup, nor one with mince - but I'd definitely give it a go!
Oh this soup looks too pretty to eat! A yummy, Autumnal inspired Pumpkin & AppleSoup! Definitely one to serve in a big bowl, while snuggled up under a blanket on the sofa in this chilly weather.
This Chilli Chickpea & Lentilsoup sounds so good! I've never actually cooked with chickpeas or lentils but I really want to give it a go! Bonus that this is actually a recipe for using a slowcooker, my favourite kitchen device! What's more, it could also be served chunky with rice (I love rice dishes!) Yum!
Carrot & CorianderSoup is another classic, that I've never known how to make properly! This recipe looks really easy, but super tasty and you don't need a huge amount of ingredients either.
Using the word roasted in any soup always makes it sound so fancy don't you think? And I'm all for a fancy sounding soup, especially one thats really easy to make yourself! This Roasted Red Pepper & Tomatosoup sounds divine! A lovely recipe that allows to make a huge amount so you can divide it into seperate portions and pop in the freezer for many meals!
Another scrumptious soup that has apple in. I've never tried putting apple in soup, but I definitely will now! This Parnipsoup looks like a really deliciously, creamy recipe - and perfect for little ones too!
Oh Tomato & Basil Soup, another firm favourite in this house! It looks perfect, but really easy to do. A good, hearty and healthy meal to make when you are low on funds too!
And another scrummy looking parsnip soup! I really want to make a parsnip soup now, as I do love creamy soups! Yum! This Honey Parsnipsoup sounds really unique and delicious. A perfect healthy and light, but comforting and warming lunch.
Ooh another roasted vegetable soup, and it looks amazing! I've tried butternut squash soup before and loved it, so I know this Roasted Butternutsoup will be delicious! Super easy to whip together and pop in the slow cooker too!
Cullen Skink is a Traditional Scottish Smoked Haddock Soupand it sounds so good! It's more of a chowder, but it looks so delicious and creamy I'd definitely give it a go. And it's a great way to get more fish into your diet. Soup solves everything!
A great time to make soup is on a Sunday night or a Monday morning after you've cooked a roast! Using leftover meat & vegetables from your roast is a great way to make meals stretch a bit further. This Roast Lamb & Winter Vegetablesoup is a fantastic recipe for doing just that! It looks so good!
Last but certainly not least, a scrumptious warmingWinter Squashsoup. A gorgeous Autumnal themed recipe, and a perfect way to warm up on a cold day. Really quick to whip together to if you are expecting guests!
I feel really inspired to make more soup in a *slow cooker now. How amazing would it be to go out for the morning, all wrapped up in coats and scarves, then come home to be greeted by a delicious hot bowl of homemade soup? I definitely need to do this!
Aside from a slow cooker, I really recommend purchasing a *handheld blender, it makes soup making so much easier!
And my personal opinion but, the perfect way to eat homemade soup is with a chunky piece of yummy crusty bread!
