Mr Shahas Recipes For Wonder - Fun Science Experiments For Children {Book Review}

I love doing science experiments with my little ones. I never really enjoyed Science at school if I'm totally honest and I think that's partly to do with the fact that I just didn't find it fun and I struggled quite a lot. So I'm trying to encourage my little ones to enjoy experimenting and learning all about science!

So, to coincide with British Science Week we have been reviewing a fantastic new book - Mr Shaha's Recipes For Wonder; Adventures in Science around the kitchen table. It's full of all kinds of fun, exciting science experiments that you can do at home, with items you most likely have around your home! It's the perfect book to spark your little one's imagination and encourage them to get excited about science.

When we opened the book, our first impressions were 'WOW'. I loved how vibrant and bright all the pages were, it all looked so exciting! (Just thinking back, remember how dull and plain those old school science textbooks used to be! No wonder it didn't interest me!) There were so many fascinating and exciting experiments to choose from, we simply couldn't decide which ones to try first! We decided to go with the fun Balloon powered cars!

We had so much fun making these cars, they were pretty easy to put together (if a tad fiddly for really little ones) and they worked so well!

I love in the book that for the experiments, they are little questions to encourage your little ones to really think about the science behind the experiments, and perhaps try different variations of it! All in all, I am very very impressed with this book, I love the experiments, the images, the colours even the way the pages are worded just makes you want to get experimenting. I love it!
