Slimming Down With Shake That Weight

I've been gradually putting on weight for a good while now, then I lost quite a bit after my little girlie was born. Then I became pregnant with my little guy and the weight has just been piling on ever since. I definitely struggle with weight loss, mainly because of the fact - I like food! But it does make me upset, and really lowers my self confidence, so I decided it was definitely time for a change and I needed to give myself a kick up the bum and do something about it! 

I was recently contacted by Shake That Weight who specialise in VLCD (very low calorie diet) products and meal plans. They have 4 separate meal plans that you can choose from - Women very low calorie meal plan, women total meal replacement meal plan, and the same, but tailored for men. I love how there are different meal plans for men and women. I decided to go for the Very Low Calorie Meal Plan, as I knew I would need some lenience. I couldn't possibly go on a completely strict diet, it just wouldn't work for me. 

The diet itself is really easy to follow. It's recommended for women with a BMI of 25+, having 3 Shake That Weight products throughout the day, and one healthy meal of your choice which would be 400 calories. It means you are only allowed 800 calories per day, so only light to moderate exercise is recommended - which is fine by me. Haha.

Once I decided which meal plan I was going to go for, I had to pick out the food I wanted to try! I really wanted to try some of the diet shakes so I went with Chocolate Heaven (of course), Caramel Delight and Hazelnut Crush.

As I often like to have warm, comfort food for lunch - I chose to try the Creamy Chicken Soup, the Simply Chicken & Veg Noodles as well as the Pasta Carbonara, because I do love my pasta!

Then I decided I wanted to try some of the larger, ready meals. So I went with Chicken & Creamed Spinach Meal, Beef & Veg Meal, Chicken With Tarragon Meal and the Chicken Ratatouille Meal.

Finally, I knew I would want something that would feel like a real treat, but wasn't too bad at all - so I chose a couple of the Milk Choc Joy Bars!

I was sort of dreading when the package arrived, as I'd know this would the majority of my meals for the next few weeks, and I had this idea in my head that the meals would be tiny but they are a really decent size - so here's to the first day on my weight loss journey. I really want to lose 3 1/2 stone this year, so hopefully this is the beginning and it gives me the push I need!
