Vacuum Cleaning Tips With The Vax Blade 32V Cordless Vacuum {Review}

Vacuum cleaners are one of the most valuable and useful tools you can own, once you got one - you can't really cope without! (I should know! We've gone a few days without one and with 2 little ones, and 3 cats, you realise how essential a vacuum is!)

There are so many different types of vacuum cleaners available so it's important to find the one that's right for you. Taking into account what sort of dirt you will be hoovering up, how big your home is and the sort of flooring you have.

For us personally, having a cordless vacuum is ideal as it means we can vacuum the whole house is one go without faffing around plugging and unplugging. We also need a fairly powerful vacuum, with two little ones who seem to leave a trail of crumbs wherever they go, and three hairy cats!

We've been reviewing the Vax Blade 32V Cordless Vacuum, and it definitely ticks all our boxes! The Vax Cordless vacuum is a really fantastic vacuum cleaner. It can be used as a handheld hoover, which makes furnishings and stairs so much easier, but it can also be used as a stick vacuum for hoovering your floors and carpets or for those high, hard to reach places. The vacuum holds charge for 45 minutes on regular mode and 20 minutes on Boost Mode, just enough time to whip around the house in one go! Charge time takes 4 hours.
I wanted to share some tips with you today about using your vacuum cleaner, and give you that little bit of extra know-how to help you clean your home more effectively!

Ensure Your Vacuum Is As Powerful As You Need
First up, ensuring your vacuum cleaning is suitable for your needs is so important. Cordless vacuum cleaners are fantastic if you have children (as you'll want to follow them around with it, hoovering up the crumbs! Haha). If you have a lot of fluffy pets you might need to go with a specific pet vacuum cleaner. Whatever your needs are, you'll want to make sure your vacuum will do the job well, as is as powerful as you need it to be. That's why I really love that our Vax Blade 32V has a boost mode that allows you to increase the suction power, meaning it really hoovers up all the pet hairs and crumbs, not to mention our shaggy rug which loves collecting dirt! It works wonders.

Empty The Canister/Bag More Frequently
Something we are all guilty of doing I'm sure, is forgetting or not being bothered to empty the canister or vacuum bag often enough. (I know, I was definitely guilty of leaving it for the husband to empty!) It's a great habit to empty the canister when it gets 3/4's full or before, but I tend to to empty it every time I do a full house vacuum. The Vax Blade effectively captures dirt and hair into a compressed clump, and although the canister is fairly small, it's so easy to empty with the click of a switch!
Do The Dusting First
If you think about it, it definitely feels like this is common sense but it's something I often forget to do! It's best to do the dusting first before you hoover the floors. When you dust your home, you will stir up all the dust that had settle and much of it will end up on the floor. Not dusting before only makes more work for you! Using a dusting brush attachment are ideal for picking up dust in places that might be overlooked too. The Vax Blade comes with a dusting brush, but what makes it even better is that you can use the stick part of the vacuum to reach up in those high corners, or use the handheld and dusting brush to pick up dust from light fixtures, lampshades or even blinds!

Make Use Of All The Attachments
Speaking of the dusting brush, it's so important to make use of all the attachments! Most vacuum cleaners tend to come with an attachment or two. Thin crevice tools are perfect for getting those hard to reach places, corners, baseboards, radiators or under the fridge! Textile tools are perfect for hoovering up those crumbs of the sofa, cushions or mattresses. The Vax Blade currently comes with a free tool kit which includes a soft dusting brush, a flexi-crevice tool, a mattress tool & a pet & stairs tool! Perfect for every nook & cranny that needs to be vacuumed! (Free toolkit only available here)
I'd really recommend finding out what all the different attachments are and what you can use them for, it'll make your life so much easier!

Overall, I am extremely impressed with the Vax Blade 32V Cordless Vacuum! It performs well on many different surfaces, picks up crumbs, hair & pet hair very effectively. I really love that it is so interchangeable too - using the different attachments, the handheld or stick vacuum, it's really possibly to give a good vacuum cleaning wherever you need to!
