Start-Rite School Shoes {Review}

The Summer holidays will soon be over, and little ones will be heading to school. So it's time us parents started planning, (and spending!) to stock up ready for the new school term. Aside from clothing, shoes are such an important thing to get right. They need to be smart, sturdy but most of all, your little ones need to like them! Seeing as it's the first year I've ever had to buy school shoes for my little ones, I was struggling with what type of shoes, and which brand to go for - but Start-Rite came to my rescue!

Start-Rite are a British family business who specialise in little feet and the perfect shoes for them. With 226 years of experience, through eight generations - they must know what they are talking about!

We were recently given the opportunity to review a beautiful pair of school shoes for my little girlie. The Maria shoes are black leather, in a lovely Mary Jane style. There's a sweet little bow of the front and riptape fastening.

I really love the detailing on the shoe, the whole style of it is really girly but not over the top. Pretty, but still smart enough for school. I love the riptape fastening, at school children tend to need to be able to change in and out of their shoes fairly quickly so this fastening is ideal. Plus, it means that you can adjust the sizing to fit snuggly.

My little girl has been wearing them around the house to get used to them and they fit her really well. A snug fit but with room for growth too thanks to the fastening. She loves wearing them and they look absolutely adorable on her, and she said they are really comfy too. The Maria shoes look like they are really high quality and provide good support - which hopefully means they should last a long time!

Overall my little girl is very pleased with her new shoes, as am I. I'm confident they will last the school year! (The Maria shoes retail at £42.99).

I'd also really recommend checking out if you are looking for a high quality, but beautiful pair of shoes for your little ones. From babies to school age!
