15 Autumn Activities To Do This Year

Autumn is without a doubt, my favourite season! I love everything about it - the snuggly jumpers, bobbly hats and scarves, the scenery and seasonal changes, celebrating Halloween, and the huge array of fun activities Autumn brings! I wanted to share today a few of the exciting things we've got planned for the next few months! I cannot wait!

Bake Autumn Cookies
Ginger, Apple, Cinnamon, Pumpkin, Leaf shaped, Halloween themed - the possibilities are endless. Plus it's that time of year when you just want to bake some delicious goodies and eat them snuggled under a blanket, during the colder evenings.

Collect Autumn Leaves
One thing that we love to do, as soon as the leaves begin to fall is collect a few beautiful ones to take home. We use them to decorate with, make collages, garlands, make leaf crowns - there are so many things you can do with beautiful autumn leaves, and collecting them up is all part of the fun!

Make A Natural Garland
A lovely, yet simple way to decorate your home for Autumn is to bring nature instead. Making garlands can be so easy, and they are guaranteed to look beautiful. You could use leaves, pinecones, acorns, conkers, even oranges! Definitely try making your own natural garland this year!

Go On A Nature Walk
We love going on nature walks all year long, but early morning Autumn walks are absolutely the best! Wrapping up all snuggly, looking for colourful leaves and collecting conkers and acorns for afternoon crafts, play hide and seek, make outdoor artwork - there's no limit to what you could do!

Eat Toffee Apples
The perfect Autumn/Halloween treat, and they are so delicious! Sugar ones, chocolatey ones, apples covered in sprinkles! We are planning on whipping up a batch this week! Yummy!

Go Pumpkin Picking
Something I have always wanted to do, but never got around to. Spending the day outdoors with your little ones, embracing all thing Autumn, and getting to pick your perfect pumpkin! What's not to love!

Jump In Leaves
Need I say more? It's a must do for everyone during Autumn! Wait until nearly all of the leaves have fallen so there's a thick blanket of leaves on the ground. Embrace your inner child and get jumping!

Decorate Your Home For Autumn
Autumn is my favourite time of the year for updating and decorating, adding a few natural, seasonal touches. I love bringing nature indoors during the winter months, from flowers to pinecones, leaves, acorns and of course, pumpkins! Not forgetting the snuggly blankets and throws for cosy nights in.

Watch A Scary Film
Halloween will soon be here, which means it's time to scare ourselves with a scary movie or two! Being pregnant, I get freaked out much more easily so I need to choose wisely, but it's not Halloween without being a bit scared! Or if you need something less scary to watch with your little ones, how about a few child friendly Halloween films?

Do Seasonal Crafts With My Little Ones
My little girlie is always asking to make crafts together, but it can be hard to find inspiration sometimes - but Autumn is the most inspirational time of year and there are so many craft opportunities (not to mention, lots of natural craft supplies!)

Carve Pumpkins
An essential Halloween activity, and a great way to add some seasonal decor to your home too! Check out Pinterest for a mountain of pumpkin carving inspiration!

Bake A Pie
Baking something delicious and warming is the perfect Autumn activity. Pumpkin pie, apple pie, even a delicious chocolate pie - make some tasty comfort food and treat yourself!

Go On A Woodland Walk
Similar to a nature walk, but in a different setting. Woodlands are so stunningly beautiful this time of year, so go and make the most of it! (And don't miss out on the photo opportunities)!

Dress Up For Halloween
Whether you are going out for Halloween, going trick or treating with your little ones, or perhaps you are just staying home for the day - there's no reason why you can't dress up and have a little fun!

What would you like to get up to this Autumn?
