Aquabeads Disney Princess Playset {Review}

My little girlie is obsessed with Disney princesses/princesses or dressing up in general so as soon as she saw this fantastic Aquabeads Disney Princess Playset, her eyes lit up! She was desperate to open the box and get started, but we had to wait until her little brother was busy so we could do it together (as I just knew he'd end up getting beads absolutely everywhere!).

When we opened up the box, she was so excited to discover all the different princesses she could make. We set up the tray, and organised the different coloured beads ready to start our creations. She first decided to make Belle, so she popped the Belle template in the holder, which showed her which bead go where. She soon started putting the beads onto the grid and Belle was soon taking shape!

Although it did take us a little longer than expected, those beads are fiddly(!) We completed Belle together and my little girl then sprayed the design with water and let it combine for about 10-15 minutes, and using the great new tool - the bead peeler, your design comes right off!

My little girl was so proud of her creation, she immediately wanted to make another!

What I personally loved about this kit is it helps improve concentration, focus and the ability to follow instructions. It also teaches your little ones patience, taking the time to create the design and waiting for it to dry completely. Plus it improves their dexterity and hand eye co-ordination. It's also a great quiet time activity!

I do feel that a 'bead applicator' is needed though, as I know you can get them in other playsets. It can be extremely fiddly trying to get each bead in the correct place without moving others. I also think that although the playset is aimed at children age 4+, I'd definitely say it was more suitable for 5 and over as my little girl did struggle to complete the design on her own and needed my help.

All in all though, it is a fabulous little kit and a great way to embrace your child's love for Disney! Plus, an excellent quiet time activity when your child is tired or you need time to grab a cuppa.
