'Into The Woods' With Wayfair This Christmas

December is now here and it's time to put up your tree and start decorating your home for the festive season! For the previous few years we've gone with a 'anything Christmassy goes' sort of theme, very bright and colourful. I really wanted to go with a different look this year, especially as it was our first time having a real Christmas tree! So I went back to the decorations I used to have pre-children and decorated our home in a Scandinavian/Woodland theme, and I LOVE it.

We have teamed up with Wayfair this Christmas to recreate the trending 'Into The Woods' theme, and swapping our bright decorations for more natural and cosy, winter woodland look. I'm going to show you the items I fell in love with below!

Throughout Autumn and Winter, pinecones are essential in my home decor! They always look lovely and help create a more natural, rustic look in the home. I really love the look of this green pine branch, and the little pinecones on it are adorable! I popped my branch in a vase with a few clippings from our Christmas tree but it would look gorgeous on any decorative shelf or mantelpiece.

My tree is adorned with natural items, and wooden ornaments this year and I love it. It gives it such a festive, homely look and these snowflake ornaments were the perfect addition, plus they add a wonderful bit of sparkle to the tree!

For an alternative take on the traditional Christmas wreath, I decided to go with a gorgeous artificial eucalyptus one. I think it adds a really unique and natural touch to the home, with a slight sparkle that gives the look of a snowy Christmas. I added a few more pinecones to give it a bit more of a woodland look. As its an artificial wreath it needs to be keep indoors, so I decided to display it in my kitchen and I love it.

You can't have a festive winter wonderland without a few candles and lanterns! I absolutely LOVE this beautiful wooden lantern and I think it adds the perfect finishing touch to our festive woodland decor. It's really high quality, a lovely chunky lantern with a distressed look to it. Something that I would happily display throughout the year, not just at Christmas!

What do you think of the items I chose? Do you love the Winter Woodland theme?
