Guilty Pleasure Movies You Need To Watch
We all have those movies we don't like to admit we secretly love. The ones that you watch when you need a pick me up, or watch with your partner (but they're not allowed to tell anyone you like it)! I wanted to share a little list of my cheesy movies that I probably should be embarrassed about loving!
Pitch Perfect
I freaking love this movie & I don't even care. Elizabeth Banks, Rebel Wilson & Anna Kendrick are awesome ladies, and I do love a bit of singing in movies. There's also references to one of my favourite movies ever, The Breakfast Club.
Life As We Know It
I could watch this movie on repeat! It's so good. It's really quite relatable too as a mum, but I remember watching it during my first pregnancy too to prepare myself!
School Of Rock
"Uh, we're not goofing off. We're creating musical fusion." I actually love Jack Black, he's an awesome human being. This movie just (excuse the pun) rocks! It's so quotable and funny, and the songs will get stuck in your head for days!
Magic Mike
This is the first Matthew McConaughey movie that was a little bit different. Not your typical cheesy rom com! What am I talking about, this movie is so cheesy! But with him & Channing makes for a pretty good movie!
Legally Blonde
"Bend, and Snap!"
As a girl, you cant not like this movie. As a human you cant not like the movie. Although my OH isn't a fan of Reese Witherspoon. But it's such a good, feel good cheese film!
Twilight
Do you know what, I'm not ashamed to admit I like these movies. I've watched them all lots of times. They might be cheesy, but they're good, and are very easy to watch! Come on, admit you like them, you know you do!
Failure To Launch
Possibly the cheesiest movie on this list! Matthew McConaughey & Sarah Jessica Parker together is definitely going to be major cheese. But it's a feel good movie. Feel good because it's so ridiculously cheesy. Can I say cheese any more? But Zooey Deschanel & Bradley Cooper star in it too, and that makes it acceptable to watch, because I love them.
13 Going On 30
Definitely the 2nd cringiest. I don't know why I like this! Haha. I used to watch it all the time when I was younger. Cheesy romances, cringey quotes and even a Thriller dance number. What more could you want?! But this was the first movie I saw Mark Ruffalo in, and I think he's such a good actor! He should be in more movies!
Romy & Michele's High School Reunion
Hahaha I so forgot about this movie! 90's cringe alert! Lisa Kudrow & Mira Sorvino star as two ditzy best friends. It's hilariously cheesy, but so good, you'll wonder why you havent watched it before!
Honourable Mention;
Mean Girls!
I'm not embarrassed to admit I love this movie. It's iconic.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I then of course asked some amazing bloggers what their guilty pleasure movies were!
"Oh god... the Olsen twins old movies 😂 I used to love them! Ha!" @ Then There Were Three
" I don't know if it counts, but I really love the Ace Ventura: Pet Detective films, haha, they're so ridiculous and funny and a little bit genius too" @ The Happy Larkspur
"Frozen. I pretend to hate it because I've been forced to watch it ten billion times but I still cry at the end every single time!" @ Five Little Doves
"Muriel's Wedding!!" @ Hello Cuppies
"Ooh! I think would be White Oleander. I've always loved it but since I've watched it so much I don't think I'll ever be able to read the book or look at Michelle Pfeiffer the same lol" @ Got Meghan
"Oh that's hard!!! Either Crossroads with Britney Spears or Parent Trap (Lindsay Lohan version!!) Both of them I know word for word" @ Not A Perfect Parent
"Any of the Jennifer Lopez rom coms...just watched Maid in Manhattan" @ Bubbablue & Me
" The Twilight series as I'm sort of ashamed to admit I like them" @ Wishes, Hopes & Dreams
"Angus thongs and perfect snogging - I'm not even sorry " @ Odd Hogg
