7 Frugal Ways To Spend Fathers Day

Spending quality time with the Dad in your life is important throughout the year, but making Father's Day extra special for him is important too. After spending money on a gift or two, you might not have a huge budget to go all out so I'm sharing some great free or cheap ways to spend Father's Day this year. (Personally I believe Fathers Day and Mothers Day are far more about spending quality time together as a family, rather than splashing the cash anyway!)

Let Him Lie In
I know for a fact that one thing most Mums wish for on Mother's Day, is a lie in! So I'm sure this is definitely something Dads are looking forward to too! Take your children downstairs while Daddy has a lie in, and then prepare a delicious breakfast together for him to eat in bed.

Present Hunt
While Dad is enjoying his delicious breakfast, why not set up a special present hunt so he has to follow clues or arrows to discover his gifts & homemade cards!

Picnic In The Countryside
Whip up a delicious picnic with all of Dad's favourite foods. You could head out for a lovely long forest walk, explore the countryside or even hop on your bikes! A countryside bike ride is always a lovely way to spend the day, especially when you get to stop for a picnic!

Board Game Marathon
Fill the afternoon will fun by playing lots of games together, quizzes or having a board game marathon!

Movie Morning
Perhaps your dad is a movie fan? You could head to the cinema in the morning (there are often special, cheaper screenings weekend mornings) or you could even host a fun family movie night later on in the day!

Head To The Beach
A trip to the beach is always a fun way to spend quality, family time together. Perhaps you could take a picnic, throw pebbles in the sea, go crabbing or even watch the sun go down on the beach with a portion of chips. Perfect.

Set Up The BBQ
A typical Dad activity, but a great one none the less. Grab the bbq and cook some delicious food, or of course, let him take over. (That's just what dad's do isn't it?) You could even invite a few close friends and family.

In case you are thinking of a thoughtful gift for Father's Day, there are a number of options available that you can consider. For instance, you can consider a rich variety of key holders from KeySmart that every father will love to receive. These key holders are not only functional but also stylish, providing a sleek and organized way to carry keys. From the classic KeySmart Compact Key Holder to the KeySmart Pro with Tile™ Smart Location, which includes a built-in key tracker, there's a key holder to suit every dad's preferences.

How will you be spending Father's Day with the Dad in your life?
