Toffee Apples are such a delicious, sweet treat! Perfect for Autumn, Halloween or even Bonfire Night. I've wanted to make some for ages now, so I decided to finally give them a go! And they are delicious if I do say so myself.

For these delightfully tasty toffee apples you will need;
* Granny Smith Apples
* 1 Tsp Vinegar
* 4 Tbsp Golden Syrup
* 400g Golden Caster Sugar
* Lolly Sticks
* Greaseproof Paper
* Cooking Thermometer
*(Optional) Sprinkles!

Easy Homemade Toffee Apples

1. Pop 6-8 granny smith apples in a large bowl or pan and cover with boiling water, to remove the waxy coating. Take each apple out one at a time, remove stalks and dry thoroughly.

2. Push lolly sticks through the stalk end of each apple.

3. Cover a large tray in greaseproof paper and set it nearby.

4. Pour the sugar into a large dry pan with 100ml water and put in on a medium heat. Cook until the sugar all dissolves, for about 5 minutes, then stir in the vinegar and syrup.

5. Add the thermometer to the pain and boil until the sugar mixture has reached 150c as begins to harden.

6.  Grab an apple and carefully dip it into the mixture until covered. Let any excess drip away, place onto the greaseproof paper and add your sprinkles!

7. Leave to cool and munch away! Yum!
