The Ultimate London Fun Guide For Kids

* This is a collaborative post

Sometimes taking the kids to the big city can seem a tad over-ambitious, after all its bustling and busy, and expensive too. However, you will be happy to note that there are some totally kid-friendly activities to try that the whole family will enjoy as well. Just read on to find out what they are.

Visit the Science Museum
This is one of the best days out in London for the simple fact that the kids think it's fun, and the parents think its educational, so everyone is happy. Located on Exhibition Road, the Science Museum is chocked full of interactive displays and exhibits that will amuse the kids for hours!
Get them to try to the VR Space Descent if they are old enough, as well as the Wonderlab Gallery, or the Red Arrows in 3D. The best thing is entry is free, and you only have to pay for the occasional exhibition if you choose to upgrade that is.
Be warned though, the kids are bound to absolutely love the gift shop that is packed with the cool experiment they can try at home. To save your wallet here, just remind them that before your visit they need to save their pocket money so they can treat themselves to whatever catches their eye.

See a show
Next, if you are looking for some genuinely spectacular entertainment then search no further than the West End. There you can take the little ones to see famous and spellbinding musicals such as Wicked or even the Lion King. A performance that combines live action, and innovative puppetry to create a memorable, feel-good show.

You can even get deals from TodayTix for some of the bigger musical performances. Something that can make it much more affordable to take the whole family and provide them with this wonderful experience.

Go eat ice cream
Most kids love ice cream, and in London, they are spoiled for choice with parlours all over the city. Take them to Milk Train in Covent Garden where they will not only receive a cone but also get it wrapped with candy floss as well.

Alternatively, there is Oddono's in South Kensington where the mango gelato is partially good. Although, if you are looking for something that is a bit more central there's always the Ben and Jerry's ice cream shop on Wardour Street. A place where you can treat yourself and the kids to one of their shakes, sundaes, or cones or even ice, ice bagel. A sweet bready treat with ice cream inside, perfect for small hands to hold while walking.

Get magical
Lastly, if you want to give the kids a company immersive day out why not take them to the Harry Potter experience? There you will find a scale model of Hogwarts, interactive broom rides, and even a real-life Diagon Alley, which you can walk through as a whole family. Round the trip off with some butterbeer too, and both you and the kids will have an experience in London that you will never forget.
