It's an annual fundraising campaign in the UK and Ireland, and people are encouraged to "make the world better with a Christmas sweater". It's such an easy campaign to take part in, a great way to raise money for a brilliant charity plus a fab way to get into the festive spirit too!
Simply pop on your most festive jumper and make a donation of £2 to Save The Children. To help avoid fast fashion, why not get creative and rustle up an outrageously festive, unique jumper by making your own! Glue or sew on some decorations, or Christmassy bits and bobs to make your own fab jumper! If you can knit, why not give that a go?! Or, if you aren't feeling creative, why not have a look for a fab secondhand bargain online or in your local charity shop?
Save The Children was established in the UK in 1919 to help improve the lives of children through healthcare and education, as well as providing essential emergency aid following natural disasters, war or protecting children from disease and hunger. They stand up for all children and make sure everyone's voice is heard.
This year Save The Children & Christmas are partnering with Peppa Pig! The Entertainer are selling this adorable figurine set, of the whole Pig family wearing cute festive jumpers! The set costs £9.99 and for everyone sold, 50p will be donated to Save The Children. We absolutely love these Peppa Pig figures, as my little ones have a huge collection of Peppa figures and play sets, they get played with on a regular basis and my littlest is absolutely obsessed with Peppa Pig right now!
Peppa's Christmas Jumper Day is available from all good book stockists for £4.99 with 10% of every book sold going to Save The Children.
Twinkl, the fantastic education resource website is also collaborating with Save The Children, Peppa Pig and Christmas Jumper Day with lots of fab, printable activities for Children too!
Whether you are at home, at work or at school this Christmas Jumper Day, be sure to take part! Get in the festive spirit and spread some joy for a fantastic cause too!
