When we opened the box, we were greeted by the cutest little yellow-and-black bee with big eyes, tiny wings.  I immediately thought, he is just so cute, and so dinky! I'm totally mesmerised by how such little toys can literally fly (the things that can be done nowadays, haha! I remember those twirling fairies that you pulled the cord and they flew, and I was so impressed by them. This is a whole other level!)

It comes with a USB charging cable and once it’s charged up, it’s ready to fly!

This clever little toy uses induction technology, which basically means it can sense your hand underneath and will fly higher when you wave. You don’t need a remote or an app — just your hands!

Honestly, it's magic. Within seconds it starts bobbing up and down all around the room. It's absolute chaotic fun, in the best way. It also has a built in safety feature so if it bumps into something it'll automatically stop. (We've all seen those youtube videos, right?)

Once you get the hang of it, it's absolutely brilliant. The bee flies around for eight minutes per charge, and only takes about 30-40 minutes to recharge. I love that it encourages the children to move and run around, waving their hands about - rather than just watch in awe (or fear, my littlest has been scared or these types of toys before - but this little guy is not scary!)  

The Flying Bee would make a perfect stocking filler or Christmas surprise for kids aged 7 and up. It’s affordable, cheerful, and something a bit different from the usual toys.

It’s also one of those gifts that adults secretly enjoy too.
