Halloween! - Pumpkins & Party!

My family has a sort of Halloween tradition. We like to have a little family Halloween party the weekend before. My little ones are still very little, as is my sister and it's a fun way to celebrate Halloween without having to do anything expensive, or worrying about trick or treating.

{The Ordinary Moments #2} Autumn Walks

Autumn is my favourite time of year, it's the perfect time for going on a walk! You're not shivering your butt off, and you're not sweaty, just comfy & cosy. Collecting pine cones & acorns, jumping in leaves!

Now my little girlie has got a bit bigger, she loves going for walks.
Obviously she still has little legs & get's tired easily, so we can't always go too far.

We do enjoy walks though, on days when we can't think of anything to do, or we are getting bored, exploring our town is always a good idea. There are plenty of little footpaths or places to discover.
We have found a completely different park, a river walk, a woodland path (fun in Autumn!) and even a reservoir!

We love going on adventures, and walks are one of our favourite activities this season!

After a walk, we often decide we are going to make a collage of all our finds. Seeing as it's autumn, there are so many natural items you can collect! Leaves, pine cones, acorns, grasses, twigs! Creating nature collages are a great way to cool down and relax after a walk too! :)

Film Fan Friday - Just Around The Riverbend

Here is my second edition in my Film Fan Friday series, asking fellow bloggers a few questions about their taste in movies! Last week I answered the questions and this week we've got a fantastic guest, Nikki from Just Around The Riverbend!

Lava Lamps!

Who doesn't love Lava Lamps? I have always loved them, and they totally just make me think of my childhood, growing up in the 90's! I'm pretty sure I've never actually owned one though, which was why I was so excited to be given the opportunity to review a new lamp from Mathmos
Available from mathmos.com £68.00

12 TV Shows That America Failed At Remaking

Sometimes, America gets things wrong. Sometimes they try to remake television shows and it just..doesn't..work. I don't know why they even bother. America has a lot more restrictions about what it's allowed to show. For example, swearing is much more frowned upon than in is over here, let alone the sort of swear words our TV shows sometimes come out with!

Morphsuits Halloween Costume - Deadpool

You've probably seen Morphsuits around before now, I'm sure they have been around for quite a while.
I have always looked they looked fantastic though. They are spandex costumes that cover your entire body, including your head! Even though it covers your head you can still see, speak and apparently even drink!
We were recently given the opportunity to review a Deadpool Morphsuit!

{The Ordinary Moments} - Lazy Weekends

Film Fan Friday Series

I realised I haven't really written any posts about movies for a good while now, so I wanted to write some again. I came up with the idea of creating a series, asking fellow bloggers a few questions about their taste in movies!

So I'm starting a new series as of today, called Film Fan Friday!
I kinda sorta wanted to answer the questions myself, so I am today!
Next week will be another blogger giving their own answers! :)

What are your top three favourite films of all time?
I'm not sure how many times I have previously answered this! Haha. But my answers still remain the same! The Breakfast Club, Pulp Fiction & 10 Things I Hate About You!

Morning in the Life of Two Little Monsters

A lot happens in the few hours before lunchtime, so I wanted to share just a snippet of an average day in our house. Do you live with monsters too?

3 Free Halloween Printables!

I love printables. There. I said it.
I have wanted to create my own for a long time, and I guess I have just never gotten around to it, but now I have! Three different quotes, three different printables.

Halloween Crafts with Viking Direct

We were recently given the opportunity to take part in a Halloween Craft Project with Viking Direct to create some awesome #SpooktacularCrafts!

I have to say, it was quite a hard challenge, a little different to the normal sort of crafts we do in the house!
It was hard because we were given a box a craft materials, and we had to use our imaginations to figure out what to make! As opposed to deciding what to make, and then figuring out how to make it!

It was a really fun, (and pretty succesful, if I do say so myself) challenge!
Let me show you what we created!

The Bedtime Tag

I have seen a few other bloggers take part in the bedtime tag
so I decided I wanted to do it myself.
As well as share a little bit about my bedtime routine. :)

10:45 - 11

PJ's & Late Night Snack!
Yes I know i'm terrible, but i'm super duper hungry at the moment.
I generally have some fruit, cereal or a bit of toast before bed :)

11-11:10

Now it's been getting colder, I've been taking a mug of hot chocolate to bed, instead of tea and recently I've been having a hot water bottle too :)
It's so nice to be all snuggly in bed!

11:10-11:30

I then take my make up off, use my face wash, and smother on lots of moisteriser
& lip balm
Brush my hair, take my jewellery off & get cosy in bed. :)

11:30-....ZZZ

When I get into bed, I like to watch Youtube. I check through the channels I am subscribed to, if they have any new videos. If not, I just go from one video to the next, clicking away. I always end up watching the most random things! I then drink my hot chocolate and go to sleep.
(Until the little ones get in my bed early in the morning!)

The Bedtime Tag

What are you favourite pyjamas?
My favourite pyjamas are my onesie, but I can only wear it when it's really cold, and I can't wear it actually in bed! Only until I get into bed. Otherwise I like to wear a large t-shirt, baggy men's pj trousers and a huge jumper. Baggy, comfy pjs are the best!

Current bedtime reading?
I haven't read any books for a while now! Oh dear. I like to watch Youtube in bed. I usually say I will only spend half an hour doing this, but I often end up doing it for at least an hour and a half!

What is on your bedside table?
- A large cup of tea
- Earphones
- Hairbands
- My iBeani
- Nappies
- Cushions
- A candle

Favourite sleepy scent?
The smell of tea...Haha. Lavender is such a sleepy scent though, so if i'm having trouble sleeping, a few drops of it definetly does the trick!

What is your usual bedtime & wakeup time?
I am usually in bed by 11:30, but generally don't fall asleep till 1ish.
And the little ones wake me up at 6:30 in the morning.

Top 3 bedtime products?
The three things I need at bedtime are my Nivea Moisteriser, A cup of tea, and at the moment, my hot water bottle.

Your most common sleeping position?
I fall asleep on my side facing the wall, curled up like a ball.
I wake up facing the other way, half off the bed.

Any strange bed time routines?
I make a hot drink, get into bed, watch Youtube, drink my drink. Take my mug downstairs, say goodnight to my better half, go back up and go to sleep! Haha

Are you big spoon or little spoon?
Generally it's just me in the bed when I fall asleep!

What's your bedtime routine?
Why don't you join in the bedtime tag too? :)

10 Halloween Movies Suitable For Kids

Halloween is not only for grown ups. I see Halloween has two different sides. One for the adults. The scary, creepy, gory or minimal outfits. The freaky decorations & the terrifying movies.
The one for the children. The cute little outfits, witches, bats, pumpkins. The trick or treating, and sweet eating. The bright colourful decorations. But there aren't often Halloween themed movies that are aimed at children. I wanted to compile a list of various movies that are suitable, for the little poppets to watch on Halloween. To get into the spirit, without getting scared!

World Homeless Day

The 10/10 marks World Homeless Day
The day is about drawing attention to the largely increasing number of homeless people, and their needs. Trying to figure out how to respond and providing opportunities for communities to get involved.

Homeless means you don't have a stable place to stay. Whether you are sleeping rough, sleeping somewhere where you aren't allowed or are temporarily crashing on a friends sofa.

October Goals

I am welcoming October with huge open arms.
It means Autumn is here, it means Halloween is coming & it means Christmas is on it's way!
I've got to start getting organised! I've literally only bought two presents, and I've got so many more to buy!
I'm planning on making some gifts too, I do every year.

Anyway enough about Christmas for now, I decided to create another monthly goal list.
I would love to tick a few items of from my Autumn To Do list this month too!

Decorating Your Home With New Prints

I'm trying to revamp my house at the moment, adding a few finishing touches to each room, to make it just the way I want it. I absolutely love decorating with prints, and I have been searching around for ages to find the exact ones I want, as well as then looking for the correct size picture frames to fit!
Then I came across Desenio. They sell some beautiful art work and posters. Whether you are looking for a picture for your little one's bedroom, or a large inspirational quote to put up in your living room, I'm sure you will find something you love.

Decorating for Autumn

I love switching up my decor, for seasons, for occasions.
Any excuse I guess! Another thing I love is creating items for the new season/occasion!
Whether it be Valentines Day, Easter, Winter or whenever, it's always fun to switch it up.
I'm lucky because The Husband (like me) loves to rearrange rooms every now & then, so our main room never looks the same for too long!
I have put together a few ideas for revamping your home for this amazing season.
