Refreshing Your Home For Spring

I love Spring, I really do. It may give us unpredictable weather, and a lot of rain but to me it feels like such a beautiful time of year. A time for new beginnings, change and spending time outside. I love updating my home for the changing seasons and adding a few small touches here and there.

Let The Fresh Air In
First up, before you do anything else, open a window or two! Let that lovely fresh Spring air into your home! (Even if it's only for few minutes, Spring can be cold!) Then you might want to get started on a touch of Spring cleaning to give your home that fresh feeling.

Rearrange Your Space
Whether it's rearranging your display shelves or moving furniture around, it's a great way to give your home a whole new look! Rearrange your living room, move your dining table into the kitchen, do whatever you want, go crazy! For this tip, sometimes it helps to get an opinion or advice from someone who doesn't live there though.

Switch Up The Textiles
I always switch up my bedding throughout the seasons, it's the only thing I really update in my bedroom but it's a key feature. Try using more pastel coloured or light coloured floral bedding for Spring. You can also swap over those really thick winter throws and cushions for lighter, softer coloured ones - still need to be snuggly though!

Update Your Wall Decor
Why not pick up, or print out a few gorgeous new prints to update your walls, or perhaps add a few new family photos if you haven't done so for a while. Maybe add a sweet wall hanging or new decorative shelving!

Bring The Outside In
It may be cliché but I absolutely love filling my home with beautiful flowers during Springtime! Tulips, Daffodils, Sweet Pea's, Lavender are some of my personal favourites - they all look and smell gorgeous! You could also add a few new houseplants to brighten up your home and freshen the air at the same time.

Make Your Home Smell Like Spring
Aside from filling your home with gorgeous smelling flowers, you could perhaps add some natural candles, floral scented natural potpourri or even try making your own.

Do you like to refresh your home for the changing seasons?
