Why You Should Consider Engineered Wood Flooring For Your Home

When you purchase a home, you have 101 things to think about. Furniture, appliances, electric, plumbing - one thing that we don't often put a huge amount of thought into, is flooring! But flooring is one of the biggest investments you will make for your home, so it's important to get it right! After all, it's something that will be used constantly!

Personally, I've always loved wooden flooring. There's something so cosy, homely about it. It's long lasting, low maintenance, easy to style and it looks great with any colour scheme in any home. It's generally easy to clean too which is ideal if you have pets or small, messy children!

If you are thinking of using wooden flooring in your home, there are lots of decisions to be made. Hardwood flooring is purely wood planks, laminate looks like wood but it's actually just an image of wood printed on to board - which is great is you are on a tight budget. But Engineered Wood Flooring is a fantastic option because it has a hardwood top layer, meaning it looks and feels like hardwood flooring but it's not as pricey!

Engineered wood flooring is quick and easy to maintain, it's practical, durable and definitely looks the part! If you are a busy family, engineered flooring would be perfect as it's hardwearing and easy to keep looking nice, while it wont break the bank. It tends to cost approximately half as much as real hardwood flooring but you'd have a tough time telling the difference by looking at it!

Last but not least, if you're still not 100% sure - as I mentioned earlier, wooden flooring looks amazing in any home! However it's styled, whatever  colour schemes you may have! There are also lots of types and designs of engineered wood flooring you can choose from, to allow you to pick just the right style for your home.
