Plastic Free Amazon Finds!

We should all know by now what a crisis we are in. Plastic is wreaking havoc on the environment. Not only is it just building up in huge piles in landfill, but according to research - by 2050, there could be more plastic in the ocean than fish. That's a scary and awful statistic.

We need to start changing the way we act, the products we buy and use and how we dispose of what we already have. Even just taking simple baby steps such as purchasing plastic free alternatives can make a big difference in the long run.

Just remember though, only replace things when they actually need replacing! As opposed to tossing out anything plastic you have, as it's such a waste having served no purpose!

So here we are, a fab bunch of plastic free alternatives to help you take those baby steps and head on your zero waste journey!

Although straws aren't something we all need on a regular basis, some of us do! And plastic straws are one of the worst culprits for harming our ocean wildlife. If you prefer, or need to use straws, try to switch to a more friendly, cheaper (in the long run) and reusable alternative!

These Bamboo Drinking Straws are biodegradable, durable and even antibacterial - plus they are super cute. (They look like little bamboo canes don't they?) These straws are all natural, with no coatings or colourants, so the shapes and widths might not be all exactly the same, but I can't see that being an issue, and it least it means you know they are all natural!

If you are looking for something a little different, what about these fantastic Stainless Steel Drinking Straws? They look like really great quality, a product that is sure to last you a long time. Plus, I can imagine using the little brushes they are really easy to clean and less prone to staining too.
I've loved this bottles for so long, and I've heard great things about this company and their products too. This Klean Kanteen Reusable Insulated Bottle is a great size and shape. The shape of the lid would make it easy to carry around with you I'm sure, and like I said I've heard fantastic things about Klean Kanteen bottles and how durable and long lasting they are! These particular bottles come in a huge array of colours too, but I definitely love the yellow!

Another fantastic bottle from this company. This Klean Kanteen Reusable Insulated Bottle #2 really looks like a wonderful product. I love the metal & wood look of this particular bottle and would really suit anyone looking for a new reusable bottle!

If you are looking for a new bottle for your children, perhaps in time for them going back to school, why not try the Klean Kanteen Reusable Kids Bottle? The same basic product as the bottles above, but with a sports top instead to make it easier for your little ones to grab a drink. Plus, these bottles come in loads of different designs too!

Something I always feel guilty about is using disposable nappies. Unfortunately cloth nappies aren't possible for us right now, but in the very near future I will definitely be investing in some reusable ones. These Reusable Cloth Nappies would be perfect, and I love the adorable designs. If you click the link, there is a lot of different sets with many different patterns - all of which are super cute!
According to recent news, wet wipes are one of the worst products we can use. They don't biodegrade or go anywhere, they literally just build up in landfill, float around the ocean forever or clog up our drains. I recently made the switch to reusable wipes, about a month or two ago and I've never looked back. I definitely recommend stocking up on some reusable cloth wipes, it's really not that difficult a switch. I've heard the best things about these Reusable Cloth Baby Wipes from Cheeky Wipes so I'd definitely give them a go!

If you are just beginning to ditch the wet wipes, perhaps you'd like to use a Reusable Cloth Wipes Starter Kit to really get you on your way. This kit includes 25 wipes, a reusable wetbag, a wipes box and a small bottle of lavender and chamomile oil blend.

If you are looking to ditch the foil, sandwich bags and clingfilm, definitely give beeswax wraps a go. Although they cannot be used in the oven like foil, they are suitable for covering or wrapping food, plus they can be folded and sealed just like clingfilm. These Beeswax Wraps have fantastic recommendations and they come in super cute patterns too!

If you are in need of a new lunchbox for taking your lunch to work, or perhaps your little ones need a new ones for school -bamboo lunchboxes are the way to go! This Palm Leaf Bamboo Lunchbox has such a gorgeous, bright print and it's a great way to carry your food with you when you are out and about - plus, you'll be helping the planet at the same time!
Or perhaps you are looking for a girlier alternative? This Floral Bamboo Lunchbox is just the prettiest lunchbox ever! I love the contrasting blue band across, and would be so chuffed carrying my lunch around in this gorgeous box!
Disposable coffee cups are awful for the environment, but luckily more and more coffee shops and cafes are allowing us to bring in our own travel cups for them to fill, which makes life a whole lot easier, and prevents a huge amount of waste! I've only ever seen plastic or bamboo travel cups before but this Reusable Glass Travel Cup really caught my eye! These cups are durable, long lasting and probably a lot more sturdy and strong than other alternatives available. Plus, they are microwave and dishwasher safe!

If you'd prefer a lighter travel cup, this Reusable Bamboo Travel Cup is too cute not to love. Perfect for hot drinks on to go, easy to carry around and lightweight too. Plus it's currently a bargain price at only £4.99!
