They Are Not Imperfections

Everyone has days when they feel like they look awful.
Unwashed hair, spotty face.
Baggy clothes, chipped nails.
It's hard to feel good about yourself when you put no effort in.
But it's hard to put effort in, when you feel like it's not even worth it.

Social Media Goals 2016

I suck at social media.
I decided I wanted to set myself some goals for the remainder of the year.
I know it's already July, so it's not really a 6 month goal list,
but there's enough time to boost my social media following a substantial amount.
If you don't know me, you have to know;
I love goals!
I love lists!
So this is such a fun post for me to write, and an exciting challenge
for me for the rest of the year!

Car vs Cat

This week has been a sad one for us.
On Wednesday night, our kitten was hit by a car.
He wasn't killed, but hurt really bad.
I remember at about 5pm, it was the cat's dinner time,
but the kitten was no where to be found.
I had the worst feeling in my stomach that the kitten had been hit by a car.

Honey & Oat Facial Scrub DIY

If you have dry or sensitive skin like mine, oats are a godsend.
Seriously they are amazing.
I often make face masks out of them, or use the liquid in a bath.
Honestly, there are so many uses for them, and they are fantastic for your skin.
If you can't find anything that will soothe your eczema, try oats..honestly!
I wanted to share with you a little something different today;

Bedroom Makeover By Caprice Home

Everyone loves a good makeover.
Especially when it's your sanctuary, your special place, your bedroom.

One Of THOSE Days

Today was one of those days.
The days when you get woken up before you've even properly gone to sleep.
Woken up by a teething baby and a coughing toddler who decide to jump on your bed and have a fight on top of you.
The days when you don't have any energy and you've got constant frown face.
It's so dark outside and pouring down with rain, it feels like it's the end of the day, but no, it's just beginning.
Boyfriend is Ill so equally as grouchy as the two tired little ones.
Therefore this makes you grouchy too. So you all sit there in a grump.
The days when the little ones are tired but refuse to sleep.
You have to venture outside so you wear a huge waterproof coat that makes you sweat because, don't forget, it's actually SUMMER.
Walking to the shop with two babies.
One screaming so loud people stare.
One crying because they are still tired.
The rain cover rips off the pushchair and flies away.
At the shop, other customers glance at you as your children scream.
People push past you in the queue.
Everyone is fed up.
On the way home, the pushchairs tyres pop.
You can't push the pushchair at all with a flat tyre, so you have to take the tyre off and just push it without a tyre, just a wheel.
While your little one is sat in the pushchair, bumping all over the place.
At the same time you trying to prevent the pushchair from tipping over.
You go back home to stuff your face with chocolate, then remember you are on a diet.
Just counting down the hours, minutes, so you can crawl in to bed and feel sorry for yourself.

iBeani Review

The iBeani is a bean bag for your tablet or phone!
When you're watching something, or typing or whatever, you get fed up of holding your tablet upright.
It's a comfy bean bag, specially made for your devices, to allow you to prop it up by itself,
so you can sit, stand or slump and relax.
iBeani's are made from quality materials, right here in the UK.
I use my tablet to watch tv shows pretty much everyday. I like to multi-task so I'm often on my laptop, and watching my tablet at the same time. So that's why the iBeani came at the perfect time. It's really stable so you can use it on many surfaces; counters, sofa's, your bed, your lap. It's like squishing down in a beanbag, you can adjust it until you find the perfect position. So you can see your screen clearly, whether you are lying down, slouching or sitting up straight. I haven't tried it, but I am sure it'll be perfect to try out while travelling! In the car, on a bus or even a train. You could just prop it up on a table or your lap.
The days of squashing a cushion or an item of clothing (just me?) into just the right shape are over.
The iBeani is here, and it's brilliant!
It does sound like an simple idea, but it's a perfect one.
A mini beanbag for your device. So you're both comfy!
There are so many designs to choose from too, from check, polka dots, stripes and even leopard print!
I went with Floral Red, and I love it!

Honestly, I have used my iBeani every single day since I received it.
I don't know how I coped without it.
I really want to buy more for my friends and family!

I haven't done a tag for a while, so I though it might be fun!

Skinfix Skincare Products Review

I was recently given the opportunity to try a
few different products from the brand Skinfix.
They are a Canadian company that make healing balms and skincare products that help treat many skin conditions.
Their products are a unique combination of minerals, vitamins, emollients
and natural ingredients that restore, heal and protect the skin,
without fragrance, irritants or steroids.

Growing up with eczema,
it has been so hard to find products that actually make a difference.
My skin is so sensitive that products with fragrances and irritants
feel like they actually burn through my skin.
Over the past few years, I have had to resort to using skin care products that contain steroids,
just to stop my skin being so dry and painful.
But they come at a price, steroids are not good for the skin,
and they have actually weakened my skin throughout the time I have been using them.

So thank goodness for Skinfix. Their products are gentle, soft and completely pain free!
They are even soft and gentle enough to use on babies!

I was given the opportunity to try out;
Gentle Hair & Body Wash
Gentle Lotion
Gentle Eczema Balm
& Nappy Balm.

I can safely say I am 100% amazed with each product.
The hair and body wash is perfect, and so soft on my skin.
I know there are no added fragrances, but I do love the smell of it.
It smells natural, it smells fresh.
I have been using as a body wash for myself, and my little ones,
as well as a shampoo for them too!
It's perfect.

The lotion is exactly what it says, it's really gentle.
If i'm not having a too bad skin day, I will use this after my shower to moisturise my skin.
Normally I need to use a lot of product, as to cover my entire body,
but this lotion goes really far and you don't need to use much at all!

The eczema balm is one of the things I was most wary about.
Often product that claim to be for eczema, or for sensitive skin actually sting
and burn my skin.
I woke up one morning with really bad eczema on my arm,
so I decided to risk it and try out the balm.
It didn't sting one bit, it cooled my skin right down, and healed it within a few days.
Amazing.

Finally the Nappy Balm.
I don't often trust nappy balms, as little ones have such sensitive skin.
But I gave this one a go and I was pleasantly surprised, as were my babies.
Their nappy rash healed very quickly, stopped the stinging and chaffing of their nappies too!
Just what you need in a nappy balm.

As I have said, I am so pleased with all these products,
and I will definitely be purchasing them again!

10 Ways To Ease Colic

Colic is a funny thing.
Midwives & Doctors don't really seem to believe in it, they say it's excessive crying in a healthy baby. There doesn't seem to be a real cause or reason for the crying, it's just a normal thing some babies get. It's one of life mysteries.

I don't believe this. I honestly know that both my babies, between 2-5 months each suffered from colic.

Should You Book A Photo Booth For Your Event?

Hiring photo booths for an event has become quite popular over the past few years.
From weddings, to product launches and even birthday parties,
having a photo booth seems to be a good choice amongst many guests.
Creating fun and entertainment and a fantastic way for guests, and hosts to collect memories of the event.

I have recently toying with the idea of hiring one for my wedding.
We are not hiring a professional photographer,
so I thought hiring a photo booth would be an excellent idea.
Although we will not be able to collect photos from the ceremony itself.
A photo booth can provide hours of entertainment,
memories and keepsakes from the big day.
