If your little ones are anything like mine, anything that lights up, makes a noise or feels magical - becomes the most exciting thing in the house! So when the Wandini from Wicked Uncle arrived, we couldn't wait to try it out!

It's basically a rechargeable LED wand that creates a wonderful floating illusion when you move it around. It sounds simple, it sounds too good to be true! But once you get the hang of it, it looks amazing, and so impressive in the dark. The wand lights up in lots of different colours and patterns while spinning through the air too. It comes in three sections that screw together really quickly, not faffing or fiddling around either.

Obviously, as a light up toy, it's going to look better in the dark - it looks amazing! And I don't want to give the game away too much before you get a chance to try it, but the 'floating illusion' is really simple to grasp after a bit of practice, and I think it'll be such a fun skill to learn - it weirdly feels like a kind of 'party trick' you'd brag about as an adult (do you know what I mean? Haha)
But any toy that encourages children to learn a new skill, be able to show off their developed skills and get moving rather than being glued to a screen is a winner in my books.

Another big plus is that it's rechargeable via USB - I'm so happy to be phasing out the endless hunt for batteries when it comes to new toys! I only do wish is that they came with the plug too (it feels like as parents, we're supposed to have an endless supply of USB plugs! Just me?)

The Wandini is recommended for ages 8+ which I do agree with, as kids have to be able to pay attention to their surroundings and the wires of course are something that younger kids may not be careful enough with. But it's so much fun, it's exciting to watch, and it's addictive to play with too. I love toys that are a little different, a little quirky and magical - and the Wandini is just that.
I'm really impressed with it to be honest! It's unique, it's active, it's skill building! If you're child loves sensory, light up or magical toys - the Wandini is a fantastic gift idea!
