Simple Pleasures & Seasonal Finds
May has been a quieter month where we haven't been rushing around doing all sorts of things - which is nice! Sometimes those are the months that bring the most joy. We've been embracing the slower pace, spending plenty of time outdoors and making the most of the season. (I have to admit though, I wish the weather could make it's mind up. It's either been absolutely boiling and humid, or absolutely pouring down with rain!) Here are a few of the things we've been loving throughout May.
TV Shows We've Been Watching

The Boroughs
My absolute favourite thing I watched this month, possibly this year has to be The Boroughs on Netflix. It's honestly the best thing I've watched in a very long time. It makes me think of a combination between Cocoon and Stranger Things. I loved the whole cast, it's so good.
Clarkson's Farm
I've also been rewatching previous series of Clarkson's Farm (I really enjoy it, don't judge), in preparation for watching the newest series. It's interesting, it's heart-warming, and it's funny too.
Toys & Crafts
Style 4 Ever Keychain Factory - AD Review
One of our favourite creative finds this month has been the Style 4 Ever Keychain Factory. My oldest has been absolutely obsessed with making jewellery recently, I thought this would be a fun set to try. This colourful set allows children to create personalised keychains using beads, charms and different accessories to make a variety of different creations. It's the type of craft kit that keeps children entertained for hours rather than just one quick craft session and it's over. It over lots of opportunities for creativity!

What I particularly liked was how easy it was to set up and use. The 'factory' style set up keeps everything organised and there are enough supplies provided to make multiple creations!
I have to admit, I do enjoy purchasing and even joining in creating things with craft sets - however they are often quite disappointing. Normally there's only enough supplies to make a couple of items maximum - maybe even just one! But that's not the case with this fun set.

Available from Smyths Toys
It's a lovely vibrant, colourful set for rainy afternoons or school holidays - and would make a great gift idea for crafty children!
Seasonal Wellbeing
Xlear Nasal Spray
With hay fever season well underway, both the original Xlear Xylitol Nasal Spray and the children's version have been useful additions to our wellness routines. Unlike standard saline sprays, these contain Xylitol alongside saline to help moisturise and cleanse the nasal passages while remaining drug free and suitable for regular use.

Xylitol is a naturally derived sweetener, often from plants such as birch or corn, while saline is simply a mixture of purified water and sodium chloride (salt). The sprays also contain grapefruit seed extract and are designed to help rinse away pollen and other airborne irritants, making them particularly timely during spring and early summer. I really appreciate that this product only has 4 ingredients - natural sweetener, saline, grapefruit seed extract and water!

The sprays are designed to help rinse away pollen and other airborne irritants, making them particularly timely during spring and early summer. I always appreciate simple products that fit naturally into a low-fuss approach to wellbeing. The children's version offers the same gentle formula in a family-friendly format, and both sprays are easy to use whenever seasonal sniffles or congestion strike.

Outdoor Fun & Seasonal Projects
May has definitely been a month for enjoying the outdoors. We've spent lots of time on long walks through fields dotted with sheep and lambs, finding new playparks and making the most of the lighter evenings and all that late Spring brings.

I've also been making the most of elderflower season and have been busy gathering blooms to make homemade elderflower cordial. There's something so satisfying about turning seasonal ingredients into something delicious. Alongside that, I'm currently in the process of making a batch of hedgerow balm, which I'm hoping will come in handy for soothing stings, nettle encounters and those inevitable bramble scratches that come with spending so much time outdoors.
Favourite Moments
Some of my favourite moments this month haven't involved anything particularly exciting or expensive. Instead, it's been the simple things that have made me smile — peaceful walks, spotting lambs in the fields, spending time outdoors and enjoying a slower pace of life.
